Miriam "First Lady of the Exodus"

Miriam, sister of Moses and Aaron, placed her brother Moses in the reeds of the Nile river to save his life.

Her forthright courage, her faith and her ability to think and take decisive action, even as a youth, help us to understand why GOD chose her, along with her brothers, Moses and Aaron, to lead Israel out of Egypt. Sadly, she died before reaching the Promised Land and was buried in the wildnerness.

"I brought you up out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. I sent Moses to lead you, also Aaron and Miriam."
