Red Hatters Spend the Day Touring Caddo Lake, May 26, 2011.

Twelve Red Hatters met at Mims Chapel and loaded up in the van and headed out for Uncertain, Texas. Joyce Barnes graciously volunteered to drive the church van. She must have nerves of steel as all the cackling and laughing was going on because she did a great job and we arrived safely, thanks to her.

We had lunch at the Shady Glade Cafe on the banks of Caddo Lake and then boarded the Graceful Ghost steam paddle wheel boat for our tour. Our captain told of the beauty of the almost 30,000 acre lake, being the largest natural lake in Texas. Caddo has the largest population of Cypress trees in the entire south.

We all had a great day and it was a fun time for everyone. We were blessed with a beautiful calm, cool and sunny day as we enjoyed the beauty of GOD's creations.
