Hymn: "LOVE, MERCY and GRACE".

  1. I grew up with the Cokesbury Hymnal and this song was one of the most popular as we found out when members of the congregation called out hymns during revival services. Why the Methodist Hymnal did not include "Love, Mercy, and Grace" is a mystery to me because some of the songs in there are ones no one knows and this one was omitted for some strange reason. I look forward to revivals when the Cokesbury hymnals are brought out and it is certain "Love, Mercy, and Grace" will be sung.

  2. I agree C. Austin Miles "Love, Mercy, and Grace" is a great hymn and appreciate learning it by God's grace through my mother's Sunday School class which sings regularly from the Cokesbury Hymnal and #153 is definitely one of their favorites and now mine too!

  4. I grew up in the Methodist Church and my dad was the song leader on Sunday nights and during prayer meeting time on Wednesday nights and we always sang this or Victory in Jesus..It helped us to remember that WE HAVE the FINAL VICTORY in JESUS.. That it was left out of the "new" hymnal is just plain dumb.
