As most of you know Liz was transported to Margaret's House Hospice in Longview. Everyone is asking how they can help or any thing they can do? (Or any thing for Jackie.) YES! there is!
Her brother, from Florida, daughter-in-law, and Jackie are there every day. There are no meals served there. A small kitchen and a refrigerator that each patient uses for their personal things.
They are having to go for food at restaurants, McDonalds and etc. for 3 meals a day. This gets quite expensive.
My sister, Janice and I bought supper last night for them. Janice went back this afternoon to check on things and report to me, as she lives right there in Longview. She has purchased a meal for 4 for tonight. Most of the time they get from McDonalds for breakfast.
What we think that would be nice if we collect money to get some gift cards from eating places close to the Hospice House, and they could go purchase meals fresh each day for each meal.
DO NOT TAKE PREPARED FOOD TO THE HOUSE!
