It is time to start thinking about getting back to UMW work. I hope everyone has had a wonderful summer.
There have been a lot of changes made at the Annual Conference. We will discuss some of them at our first meeting in September.
It is time to elect new officers. If there is anyone who is willing to hold an office, please let me know. Our chairperson of nominations is not available right now, but we need to get our list of officers to the District.
The District School of Christian Mission will be held in Pittsburg at the FUMC on Saturday, August 25th. Registration begins at 9:30. I hope you plan to attend. The speaker will be Denise Dubois, a woman who has suffered abuse. She will be telling her story. Then we will learn how to make mats from plastic bags. Should be interesting. Lunch will be served afterward at a cost of $5.00. Please let me know if you plan to attend as they need a head count.
