Bro. Richard's Sermon Today: "What Can I Give You?"
Text: Acts 3:6 ... Then Peter said "Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth rise up and walk."
Too often today we tend to think we can't help people because we do not the finances available or we don't know what to say to them. We tend to measure too many things by material means. When we see someone in need, we can help by simply sharing "our story" with them letting them know that we all go through troubles and trials. Share the good news that GOD is the answer to all our problems if we only believe. Witness all the great things GOD has done for you and how HE is always there when we need him.

History of our Church
The first religious gathering place of the original pioneer families of the community is said to have been at the site of a sunken boulder, next to which the first crude log meeting house was constructed. Because of this boulder, the first structure was know as the "Old Rock Church".
About 1871, a larger one-room frame building replaced the log structure and the name was changed to Mims Chapel, after two brothers who were instrumental in procuring the six-acre tract of land. This white painted, one-room church remained in use until 1936, when a bad list to the structure necessitated its being torn down. The new church was built from the same material, except for necessary additions.
In January 1969, the old wooden building was torn down and replaced by a modern brick structure.
Mims Chapel maintains its strong historical background , while striving ever-forward to help spread God's glory and kingdom. Praise God in the highest! May Mims Chapel forever be the "Old Rock Church".
